Dedications

Thank you to everyone who has been so wonderful and supportive.

First and foremost I would like to give my warmest thanks to my wonderful husband and family.
My husband Rod has been my biggest fan and most aggressive supporter. He has been there for me, supporting me and pushing me to follow my dreams and without him I would not be where I am today. He talks about my books and hands out promotional material every chance he gets and is always there when I need support and encouragement.

My patient children have suffered through me answering questions with "not right now, just let me finish this part and then we can" almost all thier lives. They have supported me in my dream of being a writer and I am grateful for their patience and support.
I am lucky to have the family, friends and fans that I have and count my blessings everyday for all.

My Mother has been a big asset growing up and today, giving me support and space to do my writing. She encouraged me every step of the way to follow my dreams. Thank you Mom

I would like to extend my very special thanks to a wonderful teacher who influenced me greatly.  Mrs. Ann Lorraine Smith encouraged me to write in the way that was best for me. Up to that point I did not enjoy writing, because every other teacher had told me that I had to follow a certain pattern to writing. Outline, draft and so on. I could not do it and I thought it was because I was doing something wrong.
I do not see my books in the way of an outline. I can not sit down and say this is what my book will be about and this is how it will finish. I do not see my books that way, I never have. They are not really my stories, they are my characters stories and I just get to have the pleasure of telling them. I sit at my computer or my notepad and I wait for them to tell me their stories.
I love being able to write this way, it allows me to enjoy the unfolding of the story as I write. It doesn't always go the way I want it to, but that is the joy of life. Surprise and anticipation.
Mrs. Smith knew I was struggling with the outline and told me to write the way that worked for me. If I needed to just write then that was what I needed to do. She helped me to grow as a writer and pushed me to get my short stories published, though I never had the courage to do so back then. The wonderful joy of hindsight. I would like to go back  and kick my young self in the butt for not taking her advice. I want to thank her for taking the time to help me, for having the heart to care about her students and realizing that not every one is the same.
She forced me to look at my work, to try and make it perfect, but not to dwell on every little thing and make myself crazy.
Thank you Mrs. Smith for all you did for me.

Big Thanks To all My Fans

TO Barbara
I would like to give a huge thank you to my husband's wonderful waitress, Barbara at the Irving Big Stop in Houlton, ME for her excitement in helping to spread the word about my book.
